DxOMark specialists got to the recently released flagship Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra and tested its main camera.

Verdict

Unfortunately, despite its price tag, the Galaxy S22 Ultra failed to make it into the top ten best camera phones. His average score was 131: 134 for photo, 86 for zoom, and 114 for video.

“In photo mode, the camera does a good job, especially with color and exposure. The images show pleasing colors and a wide dynamic range. However, some luminance noise is usually noticeable, and the level of detail is not quite up to par. Our testers also observed strong ringing artifacts in all conditions, and when shooting high-contrast scenes, you can often see the halo effect, ”notes DxOMark.

The final score is 10 points higher than last year's Galaxy S21 Ultra, but the Galaxy S22 Ultra still falls short of the competition, including the iPhone 13 Pro, Huawei P50 Pro, and even the regular Google Pixel 6, which is half the price.

By the way, Vivo X50 Pro +, X70 Pro and OPPO Find X3 Pro are on the same level with the top flagship Samsung - they have the same rating.

It is worth noting that only the version with the Exynos 2200 processor has been tested so far. Perhaps the result of the version with Snapdragon 8 Gen1 will be different.
