Starfield lead artist Istvan Peli said that the overall aesthetic of Bethesda's upcoming space RPG is "NASA punk".
Sing and lead animator Rick Vicens spoke with Xbox Wire and discussed how the term truly took on a life of its own and helped shape what Starfield is today.
“At the beginning of this project, when we were trying to create an overall aesthetic for this game, we coined the term “NASA punk” to describe a sci-fi universe that is more down to earth and understandable. NASA punk term was just perfect for our art direction to keep everyone in the same flow and working in the same style', Peli says.
Starfield is scheduled to release on November 11, 2022 for Xbox Series X/S and PC.
