Sony first showed the PlayStation VR2. The device was specially created for PS5 and will receive new improvements
Sony has shown off a first look at the PlayStation VR2 virtual reality glasses, which have been designed to match the look and feel of the PlayStation 5.
The design is made in the same white and black color scheme as the PlayStation 5. The new model has several improvements: the lens adjustment dial, the new design of the air vents, and the weight of the device has become less. The PS VR2 has textured PlayStation icons hidden on the front and back of the headset, just like the DualSense controller.
Sony Senior Vice President of Platform Operations Hideaki Nishino said that PS VR2 has been designed to fit fromspherical form of the Sense VR controllers that have been updated for PS5. He also added that the key to the design is immersion, to the point where you almost forget you're using a PS VR2 headset or controller.
The device supports eye-tracking, 4K HDR, 90-120Hz frame rate, and 110-degree field of view. Connects to PS5 with USB-C cable.
At the moment, the price and release date of PS VR2 is unknown.
