Oppo is finally bringing the ColorOS 12 beta to the public for users of the F19 smartphone. The program was invite only since late February, but now the company is looking for 5,000 users of the midranger to participate in the next of the software.

The Oppo F19 is a very popular smartphone in India, and because of that Oppo is looking for beta testers only in the South Asian country. They can apply through the Settings menu – tap on Software Update and then the gear wheel in the upper corner. If the beta is available, the “Apply for Beta Version” option will be present, otherwise, you need to wait “for the next round”.

Once people apply, they will receive the beta version within 3 workdays, meaning the package is likely sent by humans rather than being an automated process.

Oppo reminds F19 users that the device might heat, lag, and drain its battery after the update, which will improve over time – after all people should be willing to experience some inconvenience for the glamour of being pioneers in the field.
