The Serhiy Prytula Charitable Foundation has purchased two PD-1 unmanned aerial vehicles. Both have already been handed over to the air reconnaissance unit. The UAV cost UAH 16,500,000.

What is known

PD-1 drones help improve artillery adjustments and enable the Armed Forces to monitor enemy movements. Drones are equipped with advanced technology, transmit encrypted data and have protection against interference.

It will be recalled that PD-1 is produced by the All-Ukrainian People's Project Volunteer Center together with UkrSpecSystems. The drone weighs 40 kg, has a payload of 10 kg and can stay in the air for up to 10 hours. The maximum flight altitude is 3 km and the maximum speed is 140 km / h. Deployment of the UAV takes about 15 minutes.

One of the features of PD-1 is the variability of takeoff and landing. First, it can be launched from a catapult and use a parachute for landing. Secondly, there is the possibility of vertical takeoff and landing. Third, PD-1 can take off and land like an airplane.
