Samsung smartphone owners can increase the amount of RAM by 8 GB - the update is available for 39 models

The South Korean tech giant Samsung is successfully sending out the RAM Plus expansion feature to current models, which allows you to increase the amount of RAM by 2-8 GB at once.

As of April 21, 2022, RAM Plus support has become available for 39 smartphones. Initially, the technology allowed you to add 4 GB of virtual RAM regardless of the device, but over time the company redesigned it. Users can now choose between four options:

• 2 GB;
• 4 GB;
• 6 GB;
• 8 GB.

To activate RAM Plus, you need to open the settings and go to the "Battery and device care" section. Next, select the "Memory" item and the available amount of virtual RAM. The list of smartphones (and tablets) for which RAM Plus is available can be found in the table below.
