Samsung has finally revealed details about the branded Exynos 1280 chipset, which is installed in the new Galaxy A33 mid-range smartphones, Galaxy A53 and Galaxy M33.

What is known

So, Exynos 1280 is built on a five-nanometer process technology and consists of eight cores: two high-performance Cortex-A78 and six energy-efficient Cortex-A55. The Mali-G68 accelerator is responsible for the graphics in the new product, and the built-in 5G modem, which supports networks below 6 GHz and 5G millimeter waves, is responsible for communication.

The new SoC received Fused Multiply-Add (FMA) technology, which should provide better power consumption. In addition, it was equipped with a neural chip (NPU). The Exynos 1280 supports FHD+ displays with refresh rates up to 120Hz, multiple camera modules up to 108MP, Wi-Fi 802.11ac MIMO, Bluetooth 5.2 and GNSS.
