Motorola Edge 30: 144Hz OLED display, Snapdragon 778G+ chip and 50MP triple camera for 450 euros

Motorola, as promised, today presented the Edge 30 smartphone in Europe.

What is known

The novelty has become a simplified version of the Motorola Edge 30 Pro. The smartphone is equipped with a 6.5-inch FHD+ OLED display with a refresh rate of 144Hz. The panel supports HDR10+. The device also received stereo speakers with technology Dolby Atmos, 32MP front camera and 50MP + 50MP + 2MP triple main camera. 

A 4020 mAh battery with 33 W fast charging is responsible for the autonomy of the smartphone, and the Snapdragon 778G + processor is responsible for performance. The chip is paired with 8GB of RAM and either 128GB or 256GB storage. There is no slot for a memory card in the device. But there is protection against drops of water and dust IP52. Also, Motorola Edge 30 received support for 5G, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC and proprietary technology Ready For. It allows you to connect your smartphone to the monitor using a special docking station or via a USB-C to HDMI cable.

The Android 12 operating system is installed out of the box in the device with minimal changes. 

Price and when to expect

Motorola Edge 30 will be available in Europe and other regions. For the novelty will have to pay 450 euros.
