Media: Mafia trilogy will get a prequel

A source close to the Hangar 13 studio told Kotaku that the Mafia series is being prepared for replenishment. The game is in the early stages of development and is positioned as a prequel to the main trilogy. 

What you know about the game now:

• The code name of the project is Nero 
• It was developed on Unreal Engine 5, abandoning the engine on which the third part of the "Mafia" and other later releases of the team. 
• Nick Baines, who runs Hangar 13 in Brighton, will lead the production

We will remind, left the studio its boss and founder Hayden Blackman, and he was replaced by Nick Baines.
