Russian hackers threaten to attack Eurovision to prevent Ukrainian band Kalush Orchestra from winning
The Russian hacker group Killnet threatened with DDOS attacks during today's final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2022.
What to expect?
The Killnet group posted messages with the Eurovision logo and the following statement:
“You will not be able to vote online. Perhaps our DDOS attacks will be to blame for everything.
However, the organizers of the competition are ready for any surprises. “Every year we take a wide range of security measures to protect the Eurovision voting system from external influences,” the message says.
Recall that the grand final of Eurovision starts today, May 14, at 22:00 Kyiv time. The Ukrainian group Kalush Orchestra with the song "Stefania" will perform at number 12. In total, representatives of 25 countries will perform in the grand final, but the Kalush Orchestra has a great chance of winning.
In the meantime, we suggest revisiting the performance of the Kalush Orchestra in the first semi-final.
