Qualcomm will hold a presentation on May 20: we are waiting for Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ and Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chips

Qualcomm has announced a presentation to be held in China this Friday, May 20.

What to expect

Apparently, two new chips will be shown at the event: Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ and Snapdragon 7 Gen 1. 

Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ will become an improved version of the regular Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. The processor is credited with similar specifications and an increased maximum core frequency. The company will manufacture the chip TSMC. SoC will be built using 4nm technology.

As for Snapdragon 7 Gen 1, it will become the new top-end processor in the middle segment. The chip is credited with ARM Cortex A710 and Cortex A510 cores clocked at 2.3 GHz and 1.8 GHz, respectively. The Adreno 662 video accelerator should be responsible for the graphics of the new SoC.
