Bat and Blue Hedgehog 2 - Russian cinemas show pirated films with alternative titles to circumvent licensing ban

In early spring, due to Russia's aggression against Ukraine, a number of Hollywood studios decided to leave the Russian market. Because of this, Russian cinemas began showing pirated films.

In April, it became known about the plans of cinemas to resume screenings of American films. For example, the unofficial premiere of "Batman" took place in Moscow on April 21.

However, some sites use alternative movie titles to circumvent the licensing ban. For example, in Vladivostok, viewers are offered "Bat" and "Blue Hedgehog 2" instead of "Batman" and "Sonic the Hedgehog 2" (Russian official version - "Sonic 2 in the movies"), respectively.
