Sony shares list of games for its three-tier PlayStation Plus subscription
Back in March, Sony detailed its new subscription tiers for PlayStation Plus – Essential, Plus Extra, and Plus Premium.
Depending on the tier, you get access to different games and features. For $9.99 per month, Essential nets you two PS4 and one PS5 game to download each month, online multiplayer, and other core features. Plus Extra costs $14.99 and adds access to the Game Catalog with hundreds of downloadable PS4 and PS5 titles. For $17.99, Plus Premium adds time-limited game trials (2 hours per game), the Classic Catalog, and cloud streaming.
Now Sony has detailed which games will be included in the Plus subscription, as well as the dates when the new service will go live in different parts of the world. Asia will get PlayStation Plus on May 24, Japan on June 2, North and South America will get it on June 13, and Europe, Australia, and New Zealand will get access on June 23.
However, Sony won’t include new first-party games in the subscription package. Meaning that titles like Horizon Zero Dawn, Forbidden West, or Grand Turismo 7 won’t come to PlayStation Plus at first.
Here are the games. Firstly, the first and third-party games, coming to PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium subscribers.
PS4 and PS5 Game Catalog
PlayStation Plus Premium Deluxe members will get access to classic games – some of which Sony says will get improved frame rates and higher-quality resolution.
Next up, Plus Premium subscribers will be able to stream original PS3 games.
And finally, Plus Premium Deluxe subscribers will enjoy up to two-hour trials of select brand new games.
