Elon Musk changed his mind about buying Twitter?
At the end of April, it became known that the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX Elon Musk buys Twitter for $44 billion. However, the deal now appears to be in question.
What's wrong?
The stumbling block was information about the number of fake accounts. Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal claims that Twitter has less than 5% of bots, but Elon Musk has other data: according to him, in fact, at least 20% of fake accounts are on the social network.
Musk also noted that the deal cannot move forward without real evidence. “Yesterday, the CEO of Twitter publicly refused to provide 5% proof. This deal cannot move forward until he does,” Musk wrote on social media.
The Financial Times also writes that there are rumors on Wall Street that Elon Musk allegedly wants to renegotiate the terms of the deal or completely abandon it. Amid this news, Twitter shares continue to fall.
At the same time, yesterday, The New York Post wrote that Elon Musk was allegedly selling SpaceX shares, presumably to pay for the purchase of Twitter.
