"Banderomobiles", which are so afraid of the Russians - the Armed Forces began to use grenade launchers Mark 19

At the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Russian propaganda actively talked about the so-called "Banderomobiles" used by the Ukrainian army. And now the Armed Forces have already started using them.

These are cars equipped with Mark 19 grenade launchers that arrived in Ukraine from the United States. Mark 19, also known as Mk19, is an automatic machine grenade launcher with tape power for 40 x 53 mm ammunition. The US military has been using the Mark 19 and various modifications since the late 1960s.

Mk19 has a wide range of ammunition:

• M430 HEDP (multi-purpose with fragment-cumulative action);
• M383 (debris);
• M384 (debris);
• M385 (training).

The modification received by the Armed Forces of Ukraine was made in the United States in the period from 1981 to 2000. In addition, under the license Mark 19 is produced in Turkey and South Korea.
