No USB-C: Apple AirPods Pro 2 will get a case with a proprietary Lightning connector
Information has already appeared on the network more than once that Apple may be forced to switch to a universal USB-C connector in future devices. But it seems that this does not apply to TWS headphones yet.
What is known
According to Chinese analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the new AirPods Pro 2 will still use the proprietary Lightning charging port. But the third generation of headphones is likely to enter the market with USB-C.
Recall, AirPods Pro 2 is credited with updated design and new proprietary processor. AT headphones must install special sensors that can track user activity. In addition, AirPods Pro 2 will receive a charging case with MagSafe support and IPX4 protection.
When to expect
The release of AirPods Pro 2 should take place in the fall along with the iPhone 14.
