On the night of May 26-27, the Netflix service finally closed access to the platform to users from Russia.

What happened?

Recall that Netflix announced the suspension of work in Russia in early March. True, the service has since continued to add content with Russian dubbing and subtitles. At the same time, Netflix stopped work on Russian original projects and blocked the broadcast of more than 20 pro-Kremlin propaganda channels.

Russians could watch Netflix movies, series and shows, but could not register and pay for a subscription. True, there were still ways out - for example, gift cards from other countries or payments to foreign addresses, that is, using a VPN.

However, this night, Russian users lost access to Netflix - the message Not Available (“not available”) is displayed on the screen. The error is displayed both in the application and in the web version. At the same time, the service continues to work through the VPN.
