Samsung Galaxy Watch5 Pro may not have a rotating bezel
Samsung is rumoured to be working on three models of the Galaxy Watch5 – Heart-S, Heart-L and Heart-Pro. It is speculated that these watches will come in different sizes – 40mm and 44mm for the vanilla model, and a Pro model. However, there is no mention of a Classic model this time around.
It seems that Samsung may be removing the rotating bezel from their upcoming Galaxy Watch5 Pro model. This was a feature that was found on their Watch4 Classic, but it seems that it will not be making a return for the new model. Some previous Samsung watches have tried to emulate this hardware feature with the touchscreen, but it never worked quite as well. The rotating bezel didn't impact the watch's waterproofing or durability and was a unique feature in the smartwatch market, so it's not clear why Samsung would want to remove it.
There are many rumors circulating about the Samsung Galaxy Watch5 Pro. Some say that it will have a titanium body and sapphire glass, while others suggest that it may have a thermometer. However, there is no confirmation yet on whether or not it will have a bezel. Removing one of the most convenient and distinctive features is a very strange decision. It seems likely that the Watch4 series will be announced alongside Samsung's new foldables later this year.
