Samsung announced world’s first 240Hz OLED display for laptops
Samsung has created the world's first 240Hz OLED display for laptops. The South Korean brand has already started the mass production of the panel, so we could soon see various high-end gaming laptops using it. The panel has a diagonal of 15.6 inches and QHD (2560х1440) resolution. It offers a contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1, 0.2ms response time, VESA DisplayHDR 600 certification, true black color, wide color gamut, and low blue light emissions.
The first laptop with such a screen was the gaming MSI Raider GE67 HX. It received very productive components: Intel processors of the Alder Lake generation and GeForce RTX 3080 Ti. For the basic version of such a laptop, they ask for $ 2,500. For this money, the buyer will receive not only a display unique to the market, but also a Core i9-12900HX and a GeForce RTX 3070 Ti.
