Cloud-based Xbox Keystone gaming console may be released in 2023
Editor-in-Chief of Windows Central and insider Jez Corden said that Microsoft is preparing a compact version of the Xbox console. It's called the Xbox Keystone and is planned as a "cloud" gaming system. That is, it will only receive a video stream from the Xbox Cloud Gaming cloud service and send commands to control the game character.
Corden also noted that the early versions of the console resembled the Xbox Series X in shape, but now the design is being radically redesigned. Apparently, the new product will be similar to the Xbox Series S. As for the launch date, Keystone will appear in 2023. It was originally planned to be released this year, but the design change increased the development time.
This game requires an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription and a fast internet connection. As expected, the novelty will cost about $99. It is not yet clear what streaming quality the new console will offer. Xbox Cloud Gaming currently supports a maximum resolution of 1080p at 60 FPS on PC and 720p at 60 FPS on mobile.
