Community crafter Hackday with a nickname Remu NotMode equipped the phone with a chip Ingenic X100E with a frequency of 1 GHz, 2" screen IPS format QVGA, symmetrical connector USB-C and a 5 MP camera. Also Nokia 1680 got microphone, adapters Wi-fi 4 and Bluetooth 4, audio synthesis devices Yamaha and a battery BL-5C.

It was not possible to install the modem, so this “Frankenstein” cannot call. The enthusiast did not grow together with the graphical interface either. To control the mini PC, you need to use console commands.

The enthusiast called the resulting device Notkia. In the near future, the craftsman promises to publish instructions for creating the device. Remu NotMode does not exclude that it will start selling modification kits Nokia 1680, if it arouses the interest of users.
