Two Ukrainians tried to send a drone with cigarettes to Romania, but they were caught

The Western Regional Directorate of the State Border Service of Ukraine reports the arrest of two people who tried to send a drone with cigarettes across the Ukrainian-Romanian border in Bukovina.

What is known

The attackers were detained in the village of Budenets, Chernivtsi region on the night of June 9. They tried to send an unmanned aerial vehicle with three hundred boxes of cigarettes to a neighboring country. But the border guards put their plans.

It was later established that the detainees decided to make some money smuggling tobacco. They purchased a drone for their own purposes in Transcarpathia for 6000. During the detention, the businessmen tried to escape, but changed their minds after two warning shots were fired into the air.

The fate of the perpetrators will be decided in court. The same applies to unmanned aerial vehicles.
