Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 key specs appeared on Geekbench
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4, which is set to be unveiled on August 10, was discovered on Geekbench last month with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC, Android 12, and 8GB RAM. The Galaxy Z Fold4 that will be announced alongside the Flip4 has now also been tested by Geekbench, confirming key specs in the process. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 that was benchmarked has the model number SM-F936U, suggesting it's a US version. The phone has a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip and 12GB of RAM. And that would be the only RAM choice because the Galaxy Fold3 also had a single 12GB RAM option, and we don't think Samsung will release a 16GB RAM variant.
The RAM amount is expected to remain the same, but Samsung will likely increase the maximum storage on the Fold4 from 512GB to 1TB. The Fold4 is claimed to be lighter than the Fold3, although it has a 4,400 mAh battery - the same capacity as that of the Fold3. It's also rumored that Samsung's Galaxy Fold4 foldable screen will have a less visible crease and look more uniform than its predecessor's.
