Now access Samsung Pay and Samsung Pass in one Samsung Wallet app

Samsung is updating its app portfolio by merging Samsung Pay and Samsung Pass into the unified Samsung Wallet. Last week, the app merger began in South Korea and is now expanding to the United States, France, Italy, Spain, the United Kingdom and Germany. More countries are expected to join soon.

The Samsung Wallet app's new single version can store payment, membership, and gift cards as well as digital keys, IDs, health and boarding passes, and digital assets like blockchain wallets. Select BMW models manufactured after July 2020 will support the digital automobile key function. Driver's licenses and student IDs will be supported at a later date. The existing Samsung Pass features include password management and access to digital assets like cryptocurrencies.
