Mobile Diablo Immortal causes a lot of controversy on the Internet. Each gaming site tells how in-game microtransactions destroy the gaming process, and how Blizzard destroyed the childhood memories of real fans of the series. Currently, the game has the lowest rating on Metacritic. Even more Diablo fans believe that the game is not for them. And they may be right. Despite its mobile origins, Immortal very close to computer games. For a loyal audience, which Blizzard indulged for years, it was considered unforgivable.

And this is understandable. Criticism of monetization is not exhaustive, but the prospect of spending money on a mobile game is not always the reason why gamers are so upset. The truth is much simpler: mobile games are another front in the endless war of consoles and computers.

Before the release Diablo Immortal Diablo fans could safely ignore mobile games as a "waste of money" that will never affect the premium games they are used to playing. But since then, how Blizzard announced that the game will be a full part of the series, these gamers felt threatened because they perceive it as an encroachment of mobile games on "legitimate games". The game has caused so much concern to the community manager Blizzard had to explain that Diablo IV will not monetize "mobile style". Mobile games bring big profits to companies, so you have to accept the fact that over time, mobile versions of popular series will only increase and you should not get in the way just because you do not consider "mobile games" for real full-fledged games.

It is definitely necessary to discuss the predatory aspects of Ade's mobile games. Diablowho are angry, simply because the game has appealed to another audience. Ten million people downloaded the game simply because they wanted to, and while protecting the most vulnerable fans of the series seems like a great goal, it's not always a real reason to protest.
