Abrams - the main tank of the American army. The original version was adopted 41 years ago. Company now General Dynamics Land Systems is preparing to introduce a new generation tank and has published several teasers.

All details about Abrams while they are at the level of rumors. Judging by the promotional materials, the new Abrams will not be associated with modernization M2A2 SEPv4, which is currently being worked on. In the photo below you can see what the prototype looks like. MoneA2 SEPv3 shown in 2017. Now it is the most modern version in service with the US Army.

In the new generation Abrams we will see the modified shape of the turret and hull. At the same time, there is no information about how this will affect the composition of the crew. All versions Abrams had a crew of four.

As for weapons, the tank is promised remote installation Kongsberg Protector RS6 with automatic cannon M230 caliber 30mm. The US Army is now using a light version of this gun in short-range air defense systems.
