Moder changed DLSS to FSR 2.0 in Cyberpunk, which increased the frame rate
Super-sampling technologies from Nvidia and AMD work in a similar way, but with a number of differences. That's why the PotatoOfDookm modder was retrained Cyberpunk 2077 with DLSS on FSR 2.0 and get an impressive result.
It is important to note that Cyberpunk officially supports DLSS and SFO version 1.0 but FSR 2.0 it has not yet been built. Therefore, the author of the modification calls his creation a "hack" - he failed to implement some aspects that should have affected the image quality. Project PotatoOfDoom replaces required for DLSS files to new ones that translate technology Nvidia on clear FSR 2.0 commands.
The mod is still in development, but is already showing impressive results. According to PotatoOfDoom, using FSR 2.0 it managed to double the frame rate on the GTX 1080 in 4K resolution - up to 45 fps. At what the picture practically did not suffer. Other gamers report that they were able to run this way Cyberpunk 2077 on the GTX 970 in 1080p at 30 fps, and raise the frame rate on the 5700XT from 50 to 86 fps at ultra settings.
Modification users may encounter several problems:
- The mod breaks when you change the graphics settings. Treated by restarting the game
- On in-game animated screens while driving there is a hosting - a halo of the image. The author is already dealing with this disease.
