Motorola X30 Pro Triple Camera will get Unusual Focal Lengths
Motorola has published a teaser for what appears to be its next flagship smartphone, the X30 Pro. This is the same device that will use the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset and a 200MP main camera sensor, according to rumors. The X30 Pro may be marketed as the Motorola Frontier in regions outside of China.
The 30 Pro's marketing teaser hints that the Moto X30 Pro will feature three distinct focal lengths on its camera system, which is unusual in the smartphone industry. The 35mm focal length is the widest it goes, matching the ZTE Axon 40 Ultra's main camera, which we really liked. You then have 50mm telephoto, which is comparable to most other smartphones out there (2x), but a little lower 1.4x magnification on the Moto. And the third, another telephoto of 85mm.
The three focal lengths are not by chance selected if you've been serious about DSLR photography. We're not sure how well the lack of an ultrawide camera will go over with potential customers.
Last month, Motorola hinted that a smartphone coming in July will have a 200MP main camera. We anticipate seeing the long-awaited Motorola Frontier at this event, although Moto may have more than one smartphone with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 and a 200MP camera on board.
Samsung's 200MP ISOCELL HP1 sensor will be used in the Moto Frontier, which can capture 12.5MP or 50MP still photos as well as 8K video at 30fps. The Smartphone is also expected to have a curved 6.67-inch OLED display with 144Hz refresh rate and a 60MP front camera. A 4,500 mAh battery with wired 125W rapid charging is also expected.
