Retro RPG Sea of Start from the authors of The Messenger has moved to next year
Canadian studio Sabotage attracted the attention of players with an excellent platformer The Messenger, and now working on a "pixel" turn-based RPG Sea of Stars. The game was supposed to be released in the winter of 2022, but the developers decided to postpone the release to 2023.
According to the authors, their priority remains the well-being of the team and the quality of the game. Taking into account these guidelines Sabotage continued production Sea of Stars. However, trying the game in 2022 might work out — the studio is exploring the idea of releasing a cheat sheet before the end of the year.
We will remind you that the events of "Sea of Stars" will unfold in the universe The Messenger. The main characters are the Solstice Children, who use the powers of the moon and sun to create eclipse magic to stop the spawn of an evil alchemist known as Flashmant.
Key features of the game:
- Tactical battles with active attacks, multi-character combos and big bosses. There are no typical JRPG ailments - grind, random battles and separate arenas (combats and traveling around the world take place in common locations).
- Unlimited movement without being tied to cages - you can swim, climb, jump and scramble over ledges
- A plot with dozens of original characters, to understand which you do not need to go through The Messenger.
- Pixel art with full dynamic lighting.
Sea of Stars starts on PC (Steam) and Nintendo Switch.
