Rugged Apple Watch Pro will be available for $900
A rugged Apple Watch has been whispered about for over a year, according to Mark Gurman of Bloomberg, and it will be known as Apple Watch Pro. The new Pro model watch will have a stronger titanium casing than the current 1.9-inch display on the 45mm Series 7 watch and will feature a larger screen.
The Apple Watch Pro will have a more shatter-resistant screen than the original model, as well as improved sports tracking for swimming and trekking, a larger battery, and new health sensors. The Pro watch will be aimed at extreme athletes who would otherwise go for a Garmin smartwatch from Apple. When the new Apple Watch Pro becomes available, Gurman expects it to cost between $900 and $999. He also predicts that the high-end Watch Edition version of the AppleWatch will be discontinued.
