The company Xiaomi has decided to stop supporting two flagship models announced about three years ago.
What we know
We are talking about Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro and its Asian counterpart in the form of Redmi K20 Pro. Both models lasted a month longer than Xiaomi Mi 9T and Redmi K20. The discontinuation of support means that the smartphones will no longer receive operating system updates Android and software MIUI.
Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro and Redmi K20 Pro went on sale with Android 9.0 Pie and MIUI 10. The latest firmware version is MIUI 12.5. The shell is based on Android 10. This is strange, because usually Xiaomi releases two versions of the operating system for flagship smartphones.
