At the beginning of May, we wrote about the fact that the Ukrainian IT company Alty, with the support of the General Staff of the AFU, created an application that tracks Russian losses. And now this app can be removed from the App Store.

What is wrong with it?

Recall, the app is called RKIN (Russian ship go fuck yourself) and it allows the user to find out the losses of the occupants in the war against Ukraine. You can even create a widget and see this information just from your desktop. In addition, the app sends push notifications in case of an air alert and allows you to donate to help the AFU.

However, representatives of the App Store require the developers to remove information about the losses of the Russians. Alty assures that the collected data is official and comes from the General Staff of the AFU. The company also emphasizes that it does not publish in the app photos of bodies and other sensitive content.

Nevertheless, Apple does not agree with this position and threatens to remove the RKIN application from its store if the developers do not comply with the requirement. Negotiations are now continuing, and the Alty team is hoping for support from the authorities and the Western media.
