A true redesign since the Series 4: Bloomberg's Mark Gurman reveals what the new Apple Watch Pro will be like
We already wrote that this year, in addition to the Apple Watch Series 8 and Apple Watch SE, another version of the smartwatch will be introduced - the Apple Watch Pro. It is designed for athletes, hikers and other people who wear the watch in more extreme conditions. In a new Power On newsletter, Bloomberg's Mark Gurman explains what the new product will be like.
What to expect?
So, Mark predicts that the Apple Watch Pro will offer the first major redesign since the Apple Watch Series 4 launched in 2018. No, the watch won't be round, but it won't get flat faces, either. Instead, Gurman described the new design as "an evolution of the current rectangular shape."
In addition, a stronger titanium compound case and a longer battery life - several days without recharging thanks to a new low-power mode - are expected. There was also information about the addition of a body temperature sensor.
The Apple Watch Pro should be unveiled along with the Apple Watch Series 8 and the new Apple Watch SE this fall. Presumably, the watch will cost in the neighborhood of $900-999.
