Useful Pixel 6a photography feature will be available for Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro users
The Magic Eraser is a great new feature of the Pixel 6 series. The Tensor chip in Google's AI-enabled smartphone can remove unwanted people and things from images thanks to the chipset's capabilities. This writer, as a Pixel 6 Pro user, can verify how effectively this function works, although it occasionally leaves behind an artifact that can be seen when zooming in.
However, with the launch of the Google Pixel 6a and subsequent updates to Magic Eraser, we may anticipate that Google will continue to improve it. One thing that Google has done, which is available on the new Pixel 6a right out of the box, is include a new feature called Camouflage. This technology also allows you to disguise undesirable individuals and items in your photographs. The Pixel 6a, rather than eliminating them, will alter the color and shading of an intrusive object so that it isn't distracting from the photo's subject.
When applying Magic Eraser to such an item, keep in mind that it will work best in photos with a brightly colored background element that draws attention away from the subject. Because the object is so brightly colored, it may not be a good fit for Magic Eraser. Rather than using Camouflage to make the color greyer, use it to change the hue of the item to one that is less likely to pique interest.
To use Camouflage, select a photo with a distracting color in the background. On the bottom of the screen, scroll down to Edit and choose Tools from the drop-down menu. Select Magic Eraser from the bar above Tools by tapping Camouflage. The default option is Eraser, so pick Camouflage instead. You may zoom in and outline the distraction by drawing a circle around it if the item of distraction hasn't been chosen automatically by the phone. Areas that were missed can be re-entered into the equation. The background is replaced with gray or various drab colors to make it less distracting.
You may be asking yourself why Google decided to include this new functionality on the Pixel 6a rather than the more expensive Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro. You're steaming mad and ready to call Google to voice your displeasure. Except there's this. According to reports, the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro will get Camouflage through an update that will be released this Thursday, July 28th, which is exactly when the Pixel 6a goes on sale.
