On the eve Jeff Grubb (Jeff Grubb) started a rumor that Ubisoft is going to shut down Roller Champions after its third season. Now the developers have published a denial: they say that everything is fine with the game and they support it properly.

"Hello, champions!

Let's talk about the most important thing first: Roller Champions is not closed, and Ubisoft fully supports the game.

In fact, the Roller Champions team is working on improvements that players have requested. This has the most important priority.

What does it mean?

That means we're extending the Disco Fever season. There are two main reasons:

1. We will release a cross-invite patch and thus fulfill our promise that the game should be fully social. We will announce the release date of the patch as soon as it passes the test and is ready for release.

2. We need time to resolve issues that our players find annoying. It should happen before next season. The cross-invite patch includes some fixes, but we'll continue to work on more improvements before we launch the next season.

As for the content, we can say that we have exciting things planned for the next seasons. However, we are sure that players' feedback should be treated with respect before the start of the new season. Therefore, we will need more time.

Rest assured, we'll let you know all the news as we move forward."

The Disco Fever season started on June 21st and was originally scheduled to end on August 21st. It is not specified when the season will end.

The public had reason to believe that Roller Champions would quickly perish in the abyss of unnecessary multiplayer junk: the game received weak reviews and the road to release was very long.
