It looks like multiplayer is coming back to Dark Souls III on PC soon
The servers of all Dark Souls on PC have been down for half a year since the discovery of a serious breach in the network code of the trilogy. Bandai Namco assured that it is actively restoring the multiplayer. It seems that the renovation of it for the triquel is nearing completion.
First on the related Dark Souls III movements turned attention dataminer Lance McDonald (Lance McDonald). Updates for the game called BNEDebug and Debug For PG appeared in the SteamDB database - the first in several years. It doesn't look like Bandai Namco decided to fix any bugs after so many years. Most likely, the updates relate to the restoration of the multiplayer. The Dark Souls and Dark Souls II database pages remain unchanged for now.
As a reminder, the studio shut down all DS servers on PC in January. Bandai Namco promised to return multiplayer to each of the games in turn. Then the community drew attention to a separate mention of the third part and assumed that the restoration would begin with it. So far, events are shaping up in favor of this theory.
