The Siege and the Sandfox trailer - stealthy with parkour, inspired by Prince of Persia
The Siege and the Sandfox is an indie long-player that Cardboard Sword Studios unveiled in February 2016. The game disappeared from the radar for a while, but it did not disappear into oblivion - the authors, supported by publisher Koch Media, published a trailer urging to add their brainchild to the wish list.
This is a two-dimensional stealth-metro title with parkour elements on the Unreal Engine 4 engine. You'll play as Sand Fox, a member of a dynasty of crown defenders who must take revenge on the traitor queen:
"A beautiful city in the heart of the desert languishes under siege. As the moon rises over the palace, a famous assassin witnesses the king's death at the hands of a traitor. Caught and unjustly accused, he is now a prisoner of the dark underground labyrinths. Your task is to escape and tell everything you know, or the city will fall.
What else is in The Siege and the Sandfox:
- Various locations, including a magnificent palace, gloomy caves, ancient mausoleums, dangerous dungeons and ancient ruins.
- Unique enemies in each location. Enemies react to many factors, including extinguished torches and unclosed doors.
- Different moves and acrobatics - among other things, you can run, jump, slide, balance and swing.
If you thought this game is similar to Prince of Persia, you are not mistaken - the Prince was indeed a source of inspiration.
The Siege and the Sandfox will be released in 2023 on PC (Steam, Epic Games Store, GOG). When the game was planned to be released on unnamed consoles as well, but now consoles are not mentioned.
