Sony will abandon the praise system in PS5 - no one uses it

At the launch of the PlayStation 5, Sony introduced a praise system - players could leave positive feedback to each other after adventures together on the web. But either the Sony guys turned out to be stingy with good words, or the company did not tell enough about the feature. The conclusion is one - the system is being abandoned.

This was reported in the support section of Sony's website. "The feature did not receive the expected level of usage, so we are refocusing our efforts," the record says.

The ability to praise a fellow multiplayer player appears at the end of a game session via the Web. The system allows only one gamer in a group to be tagged, and that gamer won't know exactly who left feedback. The list of available grades includes the following: "Willingness to Help," "Friendly," "Well done," and "Leader."

Players will be able to send their last praise in the coming months - the system will be shut down in the fall of 2022.
