Microsoft offloaded Xbox Series S memory to boost gaming performance

Many developers complain that they have difficulty adapting demanding projects to the Xbox Series S. One of the reasons is not a large amount of available RAM. Microsoft listened to developers and tried to solve the issue.
In a new version of the developer toolkit, the company has provided hundreds of "extra megabytes" of memory on the Xbox Series S, redirecting them to games for other console needs. In this way, the company hopes to improve its graphics performance. Recall that before this update, developers had 8 of the 10 available gigabytes on the Series S.
Also the update speeds up video memory allocation on consoles, adds new features for PC game production and so on. They announced the full list of improvements below.
