Google TV will receive its own free live TV channels
Google TV is a software for both Android and iOS devices. The app enables you to discover videos that can be viewed on demand from a variety of platforms, including Pluto TV, Tubi TV, Plex, Prime Video, Peacock Media Player, YouTube, and more. 9to5Google discovered code buried in the most recent version of an app that Google touted in the Play Store. One line of code read "enjoy 50 channels of live television without having to subscribe or sign up."
That sounds fantastic. Unlike the current Google TV platforms, live television channels do not need you to download a third-party software. The code indicates that there should be a variety of live programming, such as "news, sports, films, and shows." Even more so, 9to5Google discovered a graphic revealing 34 of the 50 active live television stations.
Again, these are only some of the 50 channels available to Google TV users. It's unclear when this will become available. The app has a long way to go before it matches the amount of content accessible on Samsung TV Plus, which supports over 200 channels.
As of right now, this software is only a "Google TV app" that allows you to handle the streaming third-party applications you use to watch movies and television shows. The program also aids in the discovery of where your favorite films and television programs are available for streaming, and Google's algorithm will advise you of new shows and movies to see based on the content you like.
