This week, Apple released several security reports that say there is a serious vulnerability.

What's wrong?

So, the company is warning users about security vulnerabilities in iPhones, iPads and Macs. They could potentially allow attackers to gain full control of these devices. According to Rachel Tobac, CEO of Social Proof Security, this would allow attackers to impersonate the owner of the device and subsequently run any software on their behalf.

To prevent this from happening, experts advise updating vulnerable gadgets. These are:

  • iPhone 6S and later models
  • Several models of iPad, including 5th generation and newer
  • all models of iPad Pro
  • iPad Air 2
  • Macs running MacOS Monterey
  • some iPods

Apple did not specify how, where or by whom the vulnerabilities were discovered.
