Return to Monkey Island will get horse armor for pre-order - the game will be released on September 19

Developers Devolver Digital and Terrible Toybox have announced a release date for Return to Monkey Island, and have opened a pre-order. The casual adventure will be released on September 19.

If you pre-order, you'll get a completely useless item, Horse Armor, for free, which will appear in your inventory.

The unique horse armor has no practical use in the game and has no effect on the gameplay, puzzles or plot of Return to Monkey Island.

In addition to the "people's" platform, the game will also be released on Nintendo Switch.
