PlayStation has created a division, PlayStation Studios Mobile, and announced the acquisition of Savage Game Studios, which develops mobile projects.
Here's What We Know
Savage Game Studios was founded in 2020 by veterans from Rovio, Insomniac Games and other studios. Savage will join the newly created PlayStation Studios Mobile division, which will operate independently of the other studios and focus on innovative experiences for new and existing Sony IPs. Right now, the studio is working on an unannounced mobile game.
Today we announced that we have entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Savage Game Studios, a very talented development team with years of experience creating popular mobile games. We share their relentless drive to innovate and their desire to expand our audience, which makes them an ideal fit for PlayStation Studios," Hermen Hulst, head of PlayStation Studios
