Hammacher Schlemmer unveiled a 113 km/h hovercraft for $190,000

American company Hammacher Schlemmer presented a flying hovercraft. The model is simply called The Flying Hovercraft.

Here's What We Know

The hovercraft can travel above the ground and above water to a height of up to 1.8 m (6 ft). It has a range of 250 km and a top speed of 113 km/h. The Flying Hovercraft is powered by a 130 horsepower, liquid-cooled, two-cylinder gasoline engine.

The developers of Hammacher Schlemmer equipped the Flying Hovercraft with a 60" propeller made of wood-carbon composite. The 34" diameter propeller rotates at 1,100 rpm.

The Flying Hovercraft can operate in headwinds at 40 km/h. Maximum payload reaches 272 kg. The cost of the Flying Hovercraft was $190,000.
