Along with the Redmi 11 Prime and Prime 5G, Xiaomi announced the entry-level model Redmi A1. This is the first smartphone from the manufacturer since 2019, which has not received MIUI.

Here's What We Know

The novelty received a "clean" version of the operating system Android 12 without additional software shells. Before the Redmi A1, only the Xiaomi Mi A1, Mi A2, Mi A2 Lite and Mi A3, which were released as part of the Android One program from 2017 to 2019, could boast this.

The smartphone features a 6.52" LCD HD+ screen with a teardrop cutout for a 5 MP front-facing camera. The main camera resolution is 8 MP + 2 MP. Unlike the other two new products, the Redmi A1 does not have a fingerprint scanner.

The hardware platform is built around the Helio A22 mobile chip without 5G. The battery capacity is 5000 mAh, and the charging power is 10W. The smartphone also got Mini-Jack, Bluetooth 5, Wi-Fi (2.4 GHz) and an independent microSD card slot.

Price

The Redmi A1 will be available to buy from September 9 exclusively in a modification with 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal memory. The cost of the smartphone was $80. The model will be available in blue, black and green color variants.
