Oleg Gorokhovsky, one of the founders of Monobank, announced the transfer of the first Warmate kamikaze drone complex to the Ukrainian Armed Forces from the Polish WB Group.
Here's What We Know
Monobank, together with the presidential platform UNITED24, was able to raise ₴64 million ($1.73 million) in the summer to purchase two Warmate drone complexes. Each complex consists of 20 kamikaze drones. The second batch of drones will be delivered to Ukraine and handed over to the Armed Forces by the end of September.
Warmate kamikaze drones are designed to search and destroy lightly armored enemy vehicles, manpower, air defense facilities, as well as electronic warfare and electronic reconnaissance stations. These drones are in service with NATO.
The Warmate has a wingspan of 1.6 m and weighs 5.7 kg. The warhead weighs about 2 kg. A pneumatic catapult is used to launch the drone. The drone moves at an altitude of 150-300 m at a speed of up to 150 km/h. The control range is 30 km.
