Poland buys 30 artillery reconnaissance vehicles to support RAK company self-propelled mortars, transaction value $332,000,000
The Polish Army continues to arm itself. This time the Poles bought artillery reconnaissance vehicles (AWR).
Here's What We Know
We are talking about 30 vehicles of domestic production. The contract was signed on September 6. The amount of the deal is 1,590,000,000 zlotys or $332,000,000. The first deliveries of cars will begin in 2024.
The AWR (Artillery Reconnaissance Vehicle) is designed to perform ground-based optronic reconnaissance and fire support missions for a company of 120mm RAK self-propelled mortars and other mortar and artillery units. The vehicle can also be used for reconnaissance, route regrouping, fire depot areas and security support. The AWR has a crew of four. The vehicle is equipped with a remotely-operated combat module with a 7.62 mm 2000C machine gun.
