Not only Caesar guns and VAB armored personnel carriers: France will give Ukraine 155-mm TRF1 howitzers, which can shoot up to 30 km
We have repeatedly written that France has sent Caesar self-propelled artillery units and VAB armored personnel carriers to Ukraine, and now there is information about another weapon that is going to be transferred to the AFU.
Here's What We Know
We are talking about the French TRF1 howitzers, which have been removed from service. The local newspaper L'Opinion writes about this. The number of guns and terms of delivery are still unknown.
Flashback
TRF1 is a French 155-mm self-propelled gun. It was produced from 1981 to 1993 by the GIAT company. TRF1 was designed to equip artillery regiments of infantry and tank divisions. It could travel independently at a speed of 8 km/h. It has semi-automatic loading, range up to 30 km (depending on the shell) and rate of fire up to 6 rounds per minute. The howitzer is served by 7 people.
