Estonian unmanned THeMIS APCs arrived in Ukraine (photo)
Photos have appeared in the foreign press that confirm that unmanned tracked armored personnel carriers THeMIS have already arrived in Ukraine.
What is the benefit of this?
Soldiers of the Ukrainian medical battalion are already testing the THeMIS at one of the training grounds near Kiev. Earlier, representatives of Milrem Robotics, an Estonian defense company that manufactures robotic armored personnel carriers, said that the Ukrainians have been thoroughly trained.
According to the manufacturer, THeMIS allows to reduce the number of people at the front. The device can be used as a transport or combat vehicle - to transport the wounded or deliver ammunition. The armored personnel carrier has a maximum speed of 20 km/h and can carry 750 kg. THeMIS is in service in 11 countries, including the United States, Britain and Germany. The cost of one vehicle is about 300 thousand euros.
