The AFU seized the Orlan-10 drone, complete with ground stations, antennas, and documentation

The Ukrainian Armed Forces seized the Orlan-10 unmanned aerial vehicle in Kharkiv Region. The drone had been left behind by the Russian army during a retreat. The complex belonged to the 15th brigade of the army aviation of the Russian air force.

Moreover, a packed drone with ground control stations, antennas and factory documentation was at the disposal of the Ukrainian army. This was reported by volunteer Pavel Kashchuk, who visited the city of Kupyansk liberated from the occupation.

Recall that "Orlan-10" is not the most advanced Russian drone, but the most popular. It was adopted into service more than 10 years ago. Every year, Russia produces over two hundred drones.

"Orlan-10" is used primarily for reconnaissance and correction of artillery fire. In particular, integration with the Msta-SM self-propelled artillery unit is one of the features of the drone. In addition, the drone is notable for its low cost, since it uses civilian technology. For example, chips from AliExpress and Coca-Cola bottles instead of a fuel tank.
